According to Famitsu magazine, Marvelous Entertainment has announced the new Harvest Moon: Sun and Friends for the DS.
This time the farmer sim is situated on Sunflower Islands where you will have to ask the help of neighbours and wild animals to do your daily chores. Using Wifi, you will be able to trade crops with fellow farmers. However, you will have to be a bit patient. Harvest Moon: Sun and Friends is expected next winter in Japan.
