For those who never played Speedball: It's some sort of ice-hockey combined with handball. Add an enormous amount of legal violence to that (so no penalty for body-checks) and you've got Speedball. In short, it's one violent sports game!

The Speedball 2 PC remake by Frogster and Kylotonn will be available through Steam somewhere near the end of November and the retail release can be expected somewhere later this fall. The game will be using the same authentication methods as Valve's Orange Box.

Anyhow, the PC version shouldn't be mistaken with the XBL Arcade version which is a direct port of the original, upgraded with some brushed-up graphics. Apart from these minor differences, I expect major fun from both games!
