Ubi games now also suffering issues on X360?
It seems Ubisoft Entertainment isn't only having problems with their PC DRM.

The Ubisoft forums has word from multiple users that Tom Clancy Splinter Cell: Conviction is freezing up once people reach the second level.

Kotaku is reporting that the issue is related to a day-one patch that supposedly fixed another freeze-up problem:
At this point, the freeze seems to be related to a day-one patch issued for Conviction. That patch, according to an earlier conversation between Ubisoft and Kotaku, corrects a system-freezing problem I and fellow games reporter Russ Frushtick of MTV Multiplayer encountered while playing the game's co-op campaign together.
One of the Ubisoft tech guys has posted a workaround that should help most people:
I was able to reproduce that same problem, and you most likely have noticed you should try clearing the system cache and going back through the level. We have reported this information for you, so in the mean time try deleting the cache (steps below) and retry the level. Sorry for the issue (for those running into it) and hold tight for further information.

Steps to clear the system cache below.

1. Load to the Xbox 360 dashboard
2. Choose "System Settings"
3. Choose "Memory"
4. Highlight your hard drive
5. Press "y" for device options
6. from here just choose to clear system cache
Ubisoft Entertainment has stated they're working on a permanent fix.

In the meantime, you can check out the Youtube movie below which shows the problem:
