Star Wars Galaxies fans in uproar

Posted on Friday, 19 August 2005 by Speed, source: SWG Forums

It seems the fans of the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies aren't too happy with their game. Sony has changed the combat experience system and this has resulted in a ton of angry players who are filling the official forums with complaints :

According to one estimate it will now take a player four years of playing four hours a day to reach the level of Jedi. Or as Yoda would put it: Sucks some really ass that does. Sony is handling the mammoth player outcry to the new rules in its typical fashion, ignoring everyone.

Sony hasn't made any official response yet and this isn't the first time a big change has been done that wasn't liked by the players. Let's hope SWG doesn't go the same way as Everquest 2...

MMORPG companies are ALL liers and money/time sinks , only thing they care about is their wallet , even blizzard got greedy

mmorpgs will always remain a dream filled with lies, a dream you have to pay a LOT of money for , unseen in the real world for the little content you get

youre all fishes for the sharks

CCP DOUBLED their subscription fee AND the funniest part of it the euros pay 15 euros and the amerikans pay 15 dollars, basicly the euros got screwed twice as hard

and for what ? patches you where already supposed to get

face it its all a big ass scam and these companies dictate their own terms and deadlines even dow you pay them to deliver

there needs to be a serious law against all these companies that are getting away with this screwing consumers right right there where the sun dont shine

CCP did not double the subscription fee, it wasmade higher cause of the european law that made them add tax to online fee's, a law pas by the european parliament.

And those that where smart enough to lengthen their subscription did not pay extra at all, the difference in euro's/dollars is unfortunate but hardly their fault, euro was lower then the dollar to begin with so blame the americans for devaluing their currency for that!

I still only pay 11 euro's a month myself for my main account that I pay for every 12 months and 15 euro's monthly for my second acount I pay monthly...and if you ever payed 7.5 euro's for your subscription for eve online EVER I'll give you a zealot bpo!

Seeing as I pay 131 euro's a year I don't think I'll hit 360 euro's any day soon...unless I start paying for 3 accounts perhaps...
