Stardock pimping Windows 7, switch asap people!

The past few months there has been much love for Microsoft's next operation system Windows 7, currently still in RC mode, and it seems that this wave of positive critics just wont stop. It's getting so bad that somebody spotted a Vista copy eating ice cream while crying in a small corner.

Anyhow... Stardock CEO Brad Wardell has joined the Windows 7 loving crowd in an interview he had with Gamasutra. He, and many other before him, has a major crush on the new WARP (Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform) system integrated in the OS. This allows the CPU to take over some DirectX calculations if the GPU in the system isn't up to the task or even not present at all.
"We want the game to look incredible on high-end systems, but I want people to be able to play this on their three-year-old laptop on the airplane,"
...
"One of the things that comes up often is, 'How has Stardock made so much money on these niche games?' Well, because our games run on millions of boxes."
He basically applies the same logic on the usage of DirectX 10 and above. 'If it ain't widely spread, it ain't of much use tio us'
"We've taken the view that we're pretty much sticking with DirectX 9 until Windows Vista hits critical mass,"
Man i just love Stardock. They are so kick-ass old school with their no DRM, no GPU needed and dominance by availability policies.

I wouldn't go YAY for 'no gpu needed', but it's clear they make some efforts to distantiate themselves from the masses.
