Steam in a new jacket on Monday

After two months in beta and over twenty updates, the Steam Client UI Update is slated to release to all Steam users this coming Monday, April 26th.
We'd like to extend our thanks to all of you who've taken part in improving Steam by participating in the 2010 Steam UI Update beta. You've put the beta through its paces and provided great ideas and feedback.

Amongst other things there will be direct news syndication, in-game game-specific new, a less sluggish in-game browser and they have finally thrown out Internet Explorer in favour of a 'Webkit based' rendering engine.
A Mac version will also launch before the end of April together with the native Mac version of the Left 4 Dead series, the Half-Life series and its popular offspring Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal.
If you install the beta now, you will experience less downtime and hassle on Monday.
