Nintendo made this announcement after it become apparant that all copies of the game contained a severe bug. The bug made it impossible to complete the singleplayer campaign.
People who've already bought Street Racing Syndicate are allowed to return it to the local gamestore. This incident can be considered a serious financial blow for publisher Namco.
