Stunning 15 minute Crysis presentation

Crysis.ws has put up an E3 presentation video of the fps Crysis. You've probably seen the trailers but they weren't that clear (especially not the big fight on the deck of the carrier ship).

This video, despite being shaky cam, does give a more clear view on things. The Art Director of Crytek, Michael Khaimzon, plays through the game for 15 minutes during which he explains what the possibilities of the game will be. Quite a must-see. Crysis will support both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10 but it remains to be seen how much of the graphical features will be exclusive to DX10. A positive thought: every PC game on E3 was running on a (improved) DirectX9 version.

By the way, wasn't this shown at GameSpot during E3? Same segment, just a bit different playing through it.

It is a bit longer now I think (and for some Brazilian site), and I definitely didn't get a much clearer view on that big spider until now.

Amazing. I just wish the game didn't have all that scifi stuff, that's what put me off Farcry when all them mutants started appearing.

I gotta agree with Imposter. Far Cry was best with the military soldiers only, when the monsters appeared it was like the Island of Dr Moreau :P

Yeah, that's basically the consensus it seems. But ah well, if it's going to look that nice 'n provide such an immersive gaming experience I'll gladly take the monsters on top of that
