Super Doom 3 for PS3?

Gamecloud has word that the latest issue of Game Informer Magazine includes an interview with ID Software's John Carmack who states that one thing he would love to do is make some "Super Doom 3" version for the PS3

"One idea we've been sort of tossing around that is just a random idea is possibly doing some kind of super edition of the Doom 3 stuff for the PS3. It's something that we'd kind of like to do."

Personally I find it a bit strange that he would want to do that seeing that not so long ago he was clearly putting the XBox360 in favor of the PS3...
