Super Mario Galaxy running hot

Although Halo 3 can call itself the biggest entertainment release of the year, there's another title which just might take this title away from Master Chief: Super Mario Galaxy.

Why? This game has received a stunning 38/40 in Famitsu Weekly. Apart from that the little plumber has also been pre-ordered over 700.000 times in Japan. The last Mario console title, Super Mario Sunshine, sold about 6 million copies and New Super Mario Bros on DS has already been sold more than 10 million times. The latter is still selling quite nicely which clearly states there's a huge fan base supporting Mario.

There are plenty of reasons to get exited! Super Mario Galaxy offers a innovative way of playing with gravity, real 3D movement thanks to the Wii-mote, a bunch of power-ups and other Japanese ideas inspired on highly addictive mushrooms.
