Supreme Commander flash site online

Chris Taylor and co have replaced the old teaser site for the sci-fi rts Supreme Commander, with a more complete, flashy one.

It loads slow at the moment but you can see a timeline, a couple of units, and more general info about the big zoom-feature. There is also still a lot of hidden content (planets, factions) which will presumably become unlocked in the next few months.

An HTML-version of the site seems to be on the way too. Supreme Commander will be shown in full glory at E3 and will have a final release in one of the first months of 2007.

I still can't understand one thing about this game. When the first so called "in-game" screens came back in 2005, we could see a nice sort of "cartoonish" graphics that looked pretty darn good.

But now, with these new screenshots, it looks like a crappy earth 2150 clone. What is goin on?

Now don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of TA, and loved it long time! But, with SC, this might not be the case anymore. When I first saw the old screens, with that cartoonish graphics, like a fixed camera angle (from top, seemed rotateable, but fixed - and the graphics were sorta 2d/3d) I thought they looked awesome.

I would like those graphics back :(

If you look at the newest screens of SC, they look really odd and "colourless" if you wish.

Im not sure yet what Taylor is up to, but in my eyes the graphics look abit weird. Oh well, guess we'll see it in full glory at E3.
