THQ expecting high advertising income

THQ is expecting a lot from in-game advertising. This relatively new type of advertising fills the in-game billboards with real-world advertising. This results in extra money, which in turn leads to even more advertising in games.

THQ is expecting to earn a nice 5 million dollars (3.85M €) by 2008 this way. The sequels to Stuntman, Juiced and the MX series will likely contain a lot of ads.

"This is a growing market, and we have placed ads now in MX, Juiced, Stuntman, and at least one other franchise," revealed CEO Brian Farrell, during a recent conference call.
