THQ profit decreases, Epic is to blame
Posted on Tuesday, 23 October 2007 by FroFro, source: Press Release
THQ recently announced it lowered its expectations for this fiscal year (until 31st March 2008).
On the one hand THQ released all kinds of different titles such as Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon for Xbox360 and PS3, Frontlines: Fuel of War for PS3 and De Blob for Nintendo Wii. THQ blames Epic for the delay of the first two titles and its "crappy" Unreal 3 engine, certainly when we're talking about PS3-development.
On the other hand, games as Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights and Stuntman: Ignition didn't sell that good either, at least not as good as THQ exptected. They do blame themselves here, saying they didn't put enough quality in the game..
THQ expects to make only 229 million USD of profit instead of the 240 million USD they had in mind originally.
