Take Two Interactive has taken overFiraxis Games which shall become part of their 2K Games devision.
Nothing special you might say, except for the fact that Firaxis became a big player in the industry thanks to Sid Meier... whom is very happy with this take-over:
Take Two is known for Rockstar, developer of the Grand Theft Auto series and also one of Take2's publishing labels. Who knows, soon a Grand God Auto-spinoff? :)
