Take2: boxed games far from dead

Speaking with Bloomberg, Take2 CEO Strauss Zelnick has tried to reassure us all that boxed games aren't about to die off just yet.

Digital distribution currently accounts for just below 15% of Take2's revenue, but although it's increasing still, Zelnick doesn't see retail games disappearing anytime soon due to the size of games:
"Right now, digital distribution of our interactive entertainment represents something less than 15 percent of our revenue, and that's clearly growing," Zelnick tells Bloomberg Television's "Inside Track" program. "Packaged goods isn't going away for our business... because we have huge file sizes,"

Makes sense. Loading 10 GB from a DVD is faster than downloading it for most people.

I know people that can't get a fast enough internet connection simply because it isn't possible, all that's available is xDSL and they live far away from the nearest relay station so max possible connection is something like 512kb/256kb, so only real option is buying games on discs...
