Tekken 6 contains 41 characters

Katsuhiro Harada, director of Tekken 6, has announced how many characters will be available in Tekken 6. We will be able to choose from 41 characters, each with their own fighting genre. There are 6 new characters, the other 35 were already playable in the PSP game Tekken: Dark Resurrection.

oh and Tekken is blatently the best, the only one that has interesting story, and the movement and combat is the most realistic out of the bunch, soul caliber is too bouncy and you dont get the feeling anything is connecting or clashing, and street fighter just has no good animation, only really because its always been 2d, and now its 3d they still use same unrealistic animations, original mortal combats and tekkens are only fighting games where characters connect.
obviously that first bit about bein childish was just me funnin! ;)
