The developer of Spellborn released 29 new screenshots of their upcoming MMORPG The Chronicles of Spellborn. In this gamr you will fight on remmants of a planet called shards that are drifting in a storm called the Deadspell Storm.

The game will also focus itself on the skill of the players and not the collecting of items. The items at start will not give you any special stats, so they'll be mostly cosmetic. To make full use of the player skills, they're using a combat mode similar in 3rd person shooters/adventures.

You hit what you aim for, so if the player is fast enough he can dodge the weapon/magic of his opponent. A release of the game should happen in the final months of 2007 and there will also be gamecards. At least for the Benelux since Mindscape is the publisher for those 3 countries, Frogster will be the publisher in the other European countries, while the publisher for North America is still been discussed with several parties.
