The Duke vs. Take2
In CNN's latest Game Over column, Chris Morris has his say about the fight 3D Realms and Take2 had last week on the release of Duke Nukem Forever
The game has become a joke and 3D Realms will have to watch out that Duke will not become another Daikatana.
Both companies are caught in a nasty Catch-22, though. 3D Realms says it is fully funding the game, which takes away any leverage Take Two might normally have. But 3D Realms can't shop the game to another publisher, no matter how frustrated it gets – despite Broussard's claims that "we'd find a new publisher so easily it isn't even funny."
I think a lot of people have lost faith that Duke Forever will be a great game. Development time is way too long for a game of this type and people stop waiting.The game has become a joke and 3D Realms will have to watch out that Duke will not become another Daikatana.

They are doing other projects for take2, so duke is like a side project that is being made with a smaller team.

it surprises me that no other developer has already made a duke-look-a-like-game.
