Many people didn't expect this, but The Matrix Online is celebrating its third birthday. After a not so decent launch, the game was sold to Sony Online Entertainment, where it received a major overhaul. Currently the game is having a small but friendly community, who are continuing the story of the Matrix movies.

This third birthday marks the return of the Smith virus and it is up to the player to wipe it out once again. Besides this event and tons of special goodies, they also organized an ingame party on the Syntax server. Here you could have a nice chat with several developers and community managers.

The people who still want to experience the return of Agent Smith have until April 3rd to encounter him in the numorous zones of the game.
