Gingerbread Studios, a new Polish developer, has announced The Protector, a third-person shooter.

There are two main characters who have to work together but take on problems very differently. In other words, expect Gears-like shooting and stealth to go hand in hand. The British mercenary Kane (force and guns) and the American archaeologist Jennifer (smart, handy and also Kane's) are ex-lovers but have to work together again after a murder that has something to do with a centuries-old artifact.

Next to the story there will also be mini-games, puzzles, smart enemies, interesting physics and shadows to hide in. On top of that there are different endings depending on your choices during the game.
