Thompson vs. Kotaku: lawsuit ahead!

Posted on Thursday, 26 April 2007 by Speed, source: Kotaku
After calling the feds on them without much success, it seems that Jack Thompson has now filed suit against Kotaku (and their owner Gawker Media).

Today Jack Thompson amended one of his many suits, adding Gawker Media and Kotaku to the list of judges and the Florida Bar he is seeking injunctive relief from.

The amended suit was initially filed on March 13th against the Florida bar. On April 11 he added the members of the Florida Supreme Court. And today he added Gawker.

The full complaint can be read right here

This guy is just too much... Can anyone suggest him to get a hobby or something?

Jack is short for John in the US. Kinda.

Seems strange abbreviating a 4 letter word with a 4 letter word, but that's the US for you? :P

First my name is John, second I've lived in the US all my life and I've NEVER heard anyone use Jack as a nickname for John or vice versa.

I think his name's Jack because its his "stage name" just like how some people change their name so it sounds better for self promotion and stuff.

Yea, you see it in movies all the time, people who's name is John being called Jack.

And concerning Thompson: I'm pretry sure that one day the men in white jackets will arrive at his front door and take him to that nice quiet place where he can sit on the green and think about all the lawsuits he's won... ;)

I still think its more of a stage name intended to make ones name sound more catchy.

IE Jack Nicholson, Jack the ripper, Jack Thompson

Jack is actually short for Jacob.
