Tim Willits on Rage and Xbox 360 soap

After making a total mess of a 1UP interview on Rage and the cross platform issues, Willits now had a little chat with the guys from Shacknews explaining things.

On the content cutting he was quite firm in his statement:
"As far as game content, I will swear on the lives of my children that nothing was cut"
Also, the 'incident' with Microsoft not dropping their royalties for anything above 2 DVD's making the game look worse on the Xbox 360 due to compression was closed once and forever:
"Microsoft is not being dickheads," he said. "It was a simple kind of miscommunication. Microsoft does not charge a royalty per disc, but there is a cost of goods that goes along with manufacturing."
Willits made it clear that the extra cost for a third DVD was not the deciding factor why they chose to go for two DVD's.
"I had the story all written out, and we decided to make it into two acts, with a logical place in the middle where players will remove one disc and stick the other disc in, and they never have to load that other disc up,"
Man, all I hope for is that it will kick some major butt and put id Software back on its FPS throne (which they haven't really lost if you ask me, but I'm a fan). And to be honest, I couldn't care less about the 360 or PS3 for this one, a good PC is all it will ever need.
