Readers of Time have selected the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo as the most influential person of 2008. With this he precedes Al Gore and David Beckham.

In 2007, the 55-year designer already secured a ninth place, but with over 2 million votes he even ends up before Korean popstar Rain.
