First there were rumours that Tombraider 5 would be the last one. Luckily, a few years later all gamers could lead Lara through a spectacular adventure in the latest episode: Angel Of Darkness. Most critics were negative, but I think it was a hype amongst reviewers then to be as hard as possible on this title that had to fulfil so many promises. Once again the word spread that this was going to be the last Tombraider and with all the financial changes that might as well been true this time.

By now everybody knows that there is going to be a new episode but developers Core Design had to make way for Crystal Dynamics. Not everything related to Lara will be gone though because the man who created Lara Croft, Toby Gard, will assist in Lara’s latest adventure of which Eidos has promised it was going to be truly innovative.


It is expected in June 2005 so let’s hope it does not get postponed like AoD and we can enjoy it after graduating!
