Tons of cheaters banned from Battlefield 3
Electronic Arts has updated their Twitter with word that cheating will not be tolerated. And right they are!
Digital Illusions and Electronic Arts have also made it clear that such behaviour will not be tolerated and that a patch to fix the glitch is in the works.

One of the cheats used to rank up fast is to log onto a hardcore match as an engineer and misusing the repair tool.
