Tony doesn't like criticism on RIDE
Posted on Monday, 7 December 2009 by Speed, source: The Sudbury Star
Tony Hawk Ride has had quite a number of all but positive reviews and now the skating legend himself has reacted to that.
Talking to the Sudbury Star he said the reviewers didn't get it and decided to trash it because it didn't act as the reviewers wanted. Especially the board peripheral itself got quite some criticism:
Talking to the Sudbury Star he said the reviewers didn't get it and decided to trash it because it didn't act as the reviewers wanted. Especially the board peripheral itself got quite some criticism:
"They were ready to discredit it before they even tried it, and if it didn't play exactly how they imagined it... then they passed it off,"
"I don't agree with people who say the board's not responsive. I think that they're just not giving it a fair shake. And I think a lot of them came into it with an attitude that it's going to suck."
"I know that (RIDE) is super fun, and I think there's a misconception that I just stick my name on a game. I brought this idea to Activision, and I saw it through, I've been playing it every step of the way and I am very proud of it."
I would like to say we'll let you know our feelings about the game, but we'll have to get it from Activision first. Unless of course they feel the board is too expensive to send to us for review..."I don't agree with people who say the board's not responsive. I think that they're just not giving it a fair shake.
