Top 25 pc games ever according to IGN
IGN felt like starting a discussion, so they decided to bring us another top 25. The intent was to make a list of the best pc games ever. Keep in mind only one episode of a series was allowed to enter, so for example they had to choose between Half-Life 1 or HL2.
Let us know what you think of it!

As for PC gamers walking away kings if we ever go head to head, if your refering to Shadow Run then again you can shove that utter crap looking piece of poo in the same place as MMORPGs, as for who will walk away well that would be console gamers because unlike your PC self inferno we have lives outside of gaming and do not live in the world of warcraft so therefore you wont be walking anywhere as you have nowhere to walk to other than the kitchen to get another not poodle.
I don't see the total war franchise, the civilization franchise, the age of empires franchise coming to consoles. And those that are coming will be almost impossible to play with a console gamepad. You'll need a keyboard and mouse, or at least a mouse. And if you're gonna be using a mouse for a console you might as well choose a PC, because the "lean back in the couch" won't work anymore (you need a hard surface like a desk).
As to MMORPGs, it's true that in the last 1-2 years there have been few good releases. However, the upcoming Age of Conan, Warhammer Online and Pirates of the Burning Sea are all looking great. I've beta tested the latter of the games and it's good fun. Eve kept me entertained for three years before the need to be a part of alliance warfare to succeed became too much for me (I preferred small gang tactical engagements as opposed to fleet warfare).
So yeh, you're still wrong about both the MMORPG genre and the RTS genre, neither will come in any well playable form to consoles. The only, and I mean ONLY advantage of consoles is that they are cheaper in terms of high end graphical experience, and you don't need to upgrade them as often (or at all, just buy the next gen ones every 3-5 years or so).
I believe that racing and other sports games can be easily played with a gamepad attached to a PC ensuring controls as intuitive as those on consoles. And I maintain that any FPS game is best played with a mouse. In fact, put some guy playing CS or some popular FPS with a gamepad against a guy with a mouse and keyboard, and we both know the mouse and keyboard dude will win any day.
Also, note how I didn't mention WoW anywhere in my good MMORPGs list. In my opinion it is one of the biggest time sinks and disappointments of any game to come out. Especially due to its widespread popularity. It creates a feeling as though crap games can rule the MMORPG market and other companies have for a few years tried to clone it. However, almost all having failed, the three games I previously mentioned in the lineup to come out this year are all nothing like WoW.
Lastly, stop generalising PC gamers as much more addicted than console gamers. No matter what your personal experience is it cannot be applied to the much wider audience out there. I personally know a handful of console gamers in my school who regularly spend more than 16 hours playing per weekend, whereas I have yet to find more than one person I know who could or would do that for a PC. Personally my longest game run has been I think 5 hours, and that was when Oblivion came out.
Lately I haven't been playing more than 3-4 hours per week. Sometimes none at all. But this is due to exams, and a girlfriend.
Concluding. You're not as stupid as you may sometimes appear or pretend to be vexxed. And it's a shame that your attempts to "bait" (which is how you describe a major fuckup of yours and then try to justify it) or talk opinionated and moronic bullshit have to so often overshadow good comments.
In the end, those good comments of yours are often drowned in a sea of personal insults and bullshit in the rest of your comments, and as a result the good points you sometimes put forth are never heard and always get "go fuck yourself" responses.

Thief?
I've never played a better, orginal, honed game than TA on anything ever. And the originality and sound design (And that freaky ass level in that guy's house!) in Thief was nothing short of outstanding.
The only console game I'd be interested in is Gears of War. Everything else has an equivalent on the PC, or I find too childish, and it's cheaper, thank Allah.
