Especially for you, we dug up the top ten lists of Xbox Live again, dated April 16. You'll notice Gears of War is still leading the list of most played games on Live.

looks like its most played xbox games , most people are on live when they play a game so id assume they must track what games are being played . hence the list of most played game on live
All games are xbox live compatable ie d/l content , score bords , online does'nt meen multiplayer . dude we talk all the time on live when we are playing singel player games
