UK Charts: Gran Turismo 5 takes the lead
Bad news for Activision as Sony Entertainment and Polyphony have taken over the lead in the UK Sales Charts with Gran Turismo 5, pushing down Call of Duty: Black Ops to the second place in its third week in the charts. I guess that 85% drop in sales for the shooter last week continued, making Black Ops an easy pray for the long-awaited PS3 racer.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood also dropped a spot, but FIFA 11 manages to hold on to fourth place, just like Just Dance 2 which remains at 5.
Down from 3 we find back Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit at 6, clearly not where EA would like to see their reboot hanging.
Nintendo meanwhile keeps filling the lower parts of the Top10 with Wii Party which drops from 6 to 7 but gets followed by newcomer Art Academy at 8 and Wii Sports Resort at 9 (down from 7).
The Top10 gets closed down by Fallout: New Vegas which jumps back up from 13.
The biggest loser of the week is without a doubt Epic Mickey which, despite rather positive reviews, didn't even manage to make the Top40 in its first week.
