Ubi gives Jade a studio

The not so bad looking Assassin's Creed producer, Jade Raymond, has gotten the lead over a new Ubisoft studio in Toronto, Canada. The studio itself is financed with help of the Canadian government thanks to the employment it creates.

CEO Yannis Mallat will follow Jade's operations on a day to day basis but he's most of all full of praise about her

“I’m excited to have Jade managing our Toronto studio,”

“With more than 12 years of experience in the video game industry, Jade’s knowledge and leadership as an industry veteran are major assets in building the Toronto studio and expanding Ubisoft’s presence in Canada.”

Raymond started at Ubisoft in 2004 and immediately started as producer of Assassin's Creed and currently she's working as executive producer for the sequel. Previously she worked at EA, Sony Online and IBM. Of course she's quite happy with the promotion

"I’m honored to be a part of Ubisoft’s expansion into Toronto,” said Raymond. “I’m looking forward to building a strong and talented team to work on triple-A games and new intellectual properties.”

The Toronto office will open end of this year and will in time create jobs for 800 people.
