Ubisoft pirate their own game?

Joke of the day: Ubi uses pirate software to fix issues
What's so funny about that? well, it appears that instead of fixing their own copy-protection themselves, they've just used a pirated version and distributed that!
Apparent proof can be found at the Ubi forums where you can see the pirate group's tag in the binary code.
No official comment has been given by Ubisoft yet.
