Ubisoft to buy Eidos ?
Over at 3DNewz we can read that when Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot did his speech concerning sales of the last quarter, he also stated that one of the possible moves in defense against a possible takeover from EA would be to acquire UK publisher Eidos
The next round of consolidation in the realm of publishers is on its way ?
Guillemot also said he is still interested in a potential acquisition of Eidos PLC, which has already indicated that it is in talks about 'business combinations' with other companies.
An Eidos bid could also provide Ubisoft with a defence against any hostile bid from EA, Guillemot said, but no plans to launch an Eidos bid are currently underway.
