Rumours have been plentyful, but now it's certain: Ubisoft is indeed working on expanding the Far Cry franchise on consoles.

Ubisoft announced today that Ubisoft Montreal has already spend a lot of time on Far Cry Instincts Predator for Xbox360. This game will include parts of Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry Instincts Next Chapter (being developed for the 'old X').FCIP (I really hate long titles! :) ) will feature better artificial intelligence and with the 360's superior GPU scenes will look even better. But you can be the judge of that, as we have included the first two available screenshots in this post.

Ubisoft is convinced that both games will be (highly) succesful, and has planned a release within half a year.
