Ubisoft working on new Prince of Persia, among others
Ubisoft's letest financial report makes has a short entry about a new Prince of Persia game being in the works, with an expected release target of fiscal year 2008-2009, along with a bunch of other titles.
Rumors speculate that this new game will either follow the storyline of the upcoming movie, or be the start of a new prequel trilogy. Either way, I'll welcome them with open arms.
The 2008-09 line-up will include notably the following key titles:
- 7 franchises, including Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell®, Brothers in Arms®, Far Cry®, Prince of Persia® and Anno™,
- 5 new brands, including Tom Clancy's EndWar™, Haze™, the Shaun White snowboard game and a Tom Clancy™ air combat game,
- New games in the Petz, Imagine and MyCoach series as well as a new line of casual games.
