Unconventional games for Nintendo DS
In a recent interview Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has explained his vision on the future of computer games. In order to increase the gaming population it will be necessary to develop games that appeal to non-gamers, games that may not necessarily fit into the traditional categories of racing, rpg, adventure, ... .
He quotes the example of Puppy Times, a game for the Nintendo DS to be released in April. In Puppy Times the gamer will be able to raise and train up to 3 puppies at the same time. It will be a game "to be enjoyed by all people who love dogs, unlike traditional dog-breeding simulation games." Yes, because lord knows there's already enough of them.
But the Nintendo president also went a bit further :
Enhancing brain activities, touching light ? Sounds to me like they been playing a bit too much Weed 2005 at Nintendo HQ !
