Upcoming Bourne game canned? [UPDATED]

The LA Times is reporting that an EA spokesperson has stated that there are currently no Ludlum-related games are in the works. This seems to confirm that the cancelled Starbreeze Studios game is indeed the unnamed Bourne Game and not Project RedLime which people are hope will be a reboot of Syndicate

Starbreeze Studios has confirmed that one of their projects for Electronic Arts has been cancelled in order to free up resources for the other one they're working on.
The two project in question are an upcoming Bourne Game as well as Project RedLime which is rumoured to be a reboot or sequel to the classic Syndicate.
Starbreeze Studios had the following to say:

So what do you think? Is it the Bourne Game that's canned, or the Syndicate reboot? Personally I would prefer a Syndicate game over Bourne any day, but of course the name "Bourne" is more well-known to the general public thanks to the movies & books."Our relationship with EA is stronger than ever, and the aim now is to spend more resources on the game that demonstrated the greatest potential.
