Valve slams Pachter's Steam trade-in rumour

Wedbush Morgan analyst, and probably the only analyst to have ever received so much publicity, Michael Pachter recently said in an interview that Valve Software is planning to put up a trade-in service on Steam, allowing people to trade and exchange games bought through the service. And that Valve would be taking a fee from that.

"Steam gives gamers enough other stuff so that they don’t resent the fact they can’t trade in their games. And you know, name all the Steam games that you’ve purchased that you’ve traded back in to somebody else for credit. Steam’s about to let you do that supposedly, you know like trade and exchange, but they’re going to take a fee from it."
Sounds great, doesn't it? Well, it doesn't according to Valve's Doug Lombardi who says there's absolutely no truth to what Pachter's saying:"Untrue. We've never met with Mr. Pachter."
I heard that "supposedly" Valve is planning to take over management of Xbox LIVE, PSN and WiiWare and integrate everything with Steam to make one huge cross-platform platform for all gamers. Would be great, but would you believe it? ;)In other news:
