Computer Games Online have posted a preview on GSC Entertainment's upcoming tactical 3D shooter Venom[BLOCK] Click here for more shots!
Ever heard of GSC Game World? Neither have we. Judging by their 3D tactical shooter Venom, though, it's likely the Russian developer won't remain anonymous much longer. In keeping with the current flood of 3D titles from eastern European and Russian design houses, Venom sports an impressive engine, interesting design elements, and a lot of potential.
The game is essentially an outdoor/indoor first-person shooter with squad elements. Namely, you always have one teammate, controlled by the computer or another human. You can order your squadmate to cover you, hold fire, attack a target, or fire at will. It's simple, but seemingly effective; in the demo, the AI handles the wingman duties competently enough. Good thing, too, as the enemies in Venom are pretty nasty on the default difficulty level, and they're well armed[/BLOCK]
