Vivendi and Nokia close deal

Posted on Tuesday, 8 January 2008 by Desertwolf, source: Fragland
In the past, both companies already made an agreement to distribute games using Nokia's N-Gage program . Today they announced they now closed a deal to make several Award winning games available on Download! and in Nokia Catalogues.

Download! is a client based program which allows users to easily get acces to a list with available games. A list which is continiously being refreshed and updated with the latest titels. All this makes it easier to purchase a game for your mobile and most likely, more users wil do so. On top of this several top titles are expected soon:
Featured titles include the recently released Brain Shock™, and Delta Force®; titles based on premium entertainment brands like The Bourne Ultimatum™ and Eragon™; and award-winning games like The Legend of Spyro™: The Eternal Night and the revolutionary first-person shooter Urban Attack™
Withouth doubt this will have a positive effect on the sales of mobile games. And in any case, a more wide spread public is now reached.
The challenge in the mobile games value chain is not only to make great games and attract customers, but also in the effective merchandising of games and the ease with which consumers can find, purchase, and download games,”
Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile.
Apparantly, Vivendi has no doubt their latest agreement with Nokia will work out well. And why should they? To me this seems like a win-win situation.
