Vivendi buys creator Assault Heroes

Wanako Games, creator of Assault Heroes, a nice game on Xbox Live Arcade, has been acquired by Vivendi.

"The combination of Wanako's development experience, creativity and technical capabilities will contribute greatly to our presence as a leading publisher of console downloadable online games,"said Ed Zobrist, president of Sierra Online.

Sierra Online clearly has plans to become big in the downloadable console games market. Wanako has among others 3-D Ultra Minigolf Adventure ready, with more than 30 holes, an editor and the possibility to golf in multiplayer.

Next to this Vivendi is preparing four other games: Red Baron, Megaforce, Battlestar Galactica and Incredible Machine.
