Vivendi on a roll
Posted on Friday, 29 July 2005 by Doccie, source: WorthPlaying
That Nintendo isn't doing very well at the moment (read article) is far from a statement that applies to all other publishers out there. Vivendi Universal for instance is doing better than ever. Vivendi's income for the first half of 2005 rose an astounishing 61% compared to the prior year.
This remarkable increase is the result of the successful release of World of Warcraft in Europa, China and Japan. World of Warcraft remains the fastest growing title in the MMO genre.
Vivendi's success is also boosted by other titles that have achieved reasonoable sales like SWAT4, Robots and Empire Earth 2. Whether Vivendi will be able to maintain this upward movement during the next six months will mainly depend on further sales of World of Warcraft.
