Warner REALLY likes Eidos
Warner really seems to want Lara
Time Warner was already a minority shareholder of Eidos but has now increased its stake with another 10 million shares, making it owner of no less than 19% of the British publisher.
Other candidates for a takeover are Square-Enix, Ubisoft and even Electronic Arts but they've got some catching up to do. On the other hand, Eidos has a "standstill agreement" with Time Warner in which is stipulated that the latter isn't allowed to buy more than 30% of the total amount of shares.
So, although it's clear Time Warner is very interested in eating up the entirity of Eidos, there's still a possibility for other interested parties to sneak in an snatch Eidos away from them.
