Rumours that are floating around are painting a bad picture for Nintendo's next.

The latest whispers are claiming that Nintendo is having hardware issues with the Wii U that even go so far as not being able to deliver one of its key features.

A supposed source inside the Big N has stated to 01Net that the architecture of the upcoming console has been rushed out the door and that the chipset isn't powerful enough.

So what is this all about? Apparently the tablet doesn't seem to function well, even with three prototypes already having been released, and a fourth on the way. Devs apparently have been struggling with the controller and communication between the tablet and the console is all but smooth.

Finally, the rumours also dictate that Nintendo is considering postponing the release of the Wii U towards September next year instead of June.

This does not look good, and seeing as the source of 01Net is the same that started the rumours about the 3DS getting a second circle pad peripheral (rumours that are getting more likely by the day), the source seems reliable.
