Seven minutes, That's all it took to sell out the Wii preorders at Amazon. That makes the Wii the fastest selling item ever sold through the online shop.

The response was phenomenal. "It's the fastest-selling pre-order item we have ever encountered - even eclipsing Harry Potter and Coldplay." If you managed to get your pre-order in on time give yourself a pat on the back.

Allthough they didn't mention just how many Wii's they have in stock at the moment, it is a real accomplishment to beat Harry Potter at a game of speedselling, and can even use magic.
