Zander Urquhart (someone with a name like a game title) is the first to have started fitness lessons using a Wii. The Scot, 32 years old, had the idea when he saw a not so thin kid sweat while playing a Wii-game. It was the perfect lure for people who never come near a fitness hall.

According to him it's working for both young and old people.

"At first I took it along to private clients who had children that didn't take part in exercise - and they loved it," Urquhart beamed. "While the adults were doing a hard work out, the kids were getting involved too. After that I started getting requests from adults and I started looking into it a bit more. It turns out that it can benefit everyone."

"Like all good exercise, you get out of it what you put in, so anyone can get a strenuous workout from it."

A study at British and American universities showed that this type of active gaming with a Wii can make you burn up to 125 calories in 15 minutes.

Also he encourages his pupils to create a Mii to make it thinner acoording to the weightloss they have.

Demand has been such that there's now a four week waiting list for the class, prompting praise from Nintendo and researchers, as well as testimonials from current participants.

The Mii avatars are also proving to be a popular tool, as honest exercisers gradually trim their digital likeness's waistline to reflect their own.

And they're still saying that gaming is bad for your health!

They are talking about general gaming, and including a little more factors than what this is saying.

They are probably considering other games, such as the infamous Runescape. Many get absorbed into it to a point where they are unsure what else they should do with their time. People have found that it makes people's grades drop and social status lessen.

Other games often act very similar.

Conisder that people play this game 24/7. Sure, they might stay fit in body strength, but their heart might be unable to take it. The realism will take even more toll on them. They will be absorbed into it even more, and gives them another reason to put off all the necessities of life.

This sort of thing might be why. I don't personally know them, I just know I'm in general agreement with them.
