Still a long time to go

Speaking with BusinessWeek, Nintendo America's President Reggie Fils-Aime has made it clear that we shouldn't be expecting a new type of Wii console anytime soon.

“We are confident the Wii home entertainment console has a very long life in front of it.”

To counter the ever-increasing competition from Microsoft's Xbox360 and Sony's PS3, Nintendo is relying on new game software and streaming Netflix videos on Wii on 480p.
