WiiWare gets date, price and a new channel
The WiiWare service of Nintendo will be launched in Europe the 20th of May, with games that will cost 500 Wii Points or more. A lineup of the games that will be available the first day has not been announced yet.
The service will focus on offering first and third party games that have been developed especially for the channel and, contrary to the Virtual Console, are brand new.
In Japan gamers can already make use of the service since the 25th of March, and in the US the launch will be on the 12th of May. Games that will be available there, are among others Lost Winds, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King and Strong Bad's Cool Games for Attractive People.
There will also be a new Nintendo channel starting the 30th of May, which will serve to keep everyone up to date about old, current and future Nintendo games.
