WoW... The Visa

We all knew that World of Warcraft is big bussiness, but this certainly proves it: the WoW-Visa card.

The card promises:

Earn Game time with card purchases:
Accrue World of Warcraft gametime at the rate of 1% of every dollar in qualifying purchases. The World of Warcraft Rewards Visa is the only card that pays you to play.

Receive a month of WoW with first use
Receive a month of World of Warcraft subscription time with your first purchase using the World of Warcraft Rewards card.

A ploy to make sure people pay their subscription, or a nice service... your opinion?

I dunno if there's any way you can avoid payign subscription while playing. I reckon this Vivendi in some sort of deal with Visa to try and get their subscribers to use Visa instead of other credit card systems.

Its a ploy to keep you subscribed IMO. I'm speaking from experince when I say the most commonly used technique for quitting is to just cancel your subscription and ride it out until your account is no longer active.

Plus I think you would look like a retard if you took your girlfriend out to dinner and you paid with your brand new night elf visa.

You would have to put an average of $1500 a month on the card to play for free. I am almost certain this "Earned Game Time" is not instant, and most likely be "paid" either quarterly or yearly.
