WoW server problems - Blizzard gives free game time

It seems that World of Warcraft, the recently released (not yet in Europe) MMOG from Blizzard Entertainment is having equal launch problems as most other MMORPG's, meaning server instability and player disconnections.
Gamesindustry.biz is reporting that Blizzard has made a public apology and is now offering gamers 48 hours of free gaming time as compensation for the downtime that happened last weekend when the servers crashed after an upgrade last week Thursday that was supposed to resolve the instability problems.
Meanwhile, Blizzard has set a limit on the amount of players that can connect simultaneously so that the servers would remains stable until they get upgraded. The problem of this is of course that it becomes even more problematic for people to connect...

As many as a quarter of the World of Warcraft servers for North America were reportedly down over the past weekend, following a day-long scheduled outage on Thursday which was meant to fix previous stability and overloading problems.
