World in Conflict gameplay footage
Vivendi/Universal and Massive Entertainment (Ground Control series) have released the first gameplay footage of World in Conflict, the rts that offers a raging battle between Russia and the US in the eighties with the assumption that the Cold War really broke out back then. While that doesn't sound too original, this game might have a lot more tricks in store than one would think at first sight.
Anyways, grab the HD trailer (81 MB) from our fileservers and see for yourself where the hype surrounding this title is coming from. Not everything seems top-notch (*cough*voice-overs*cough*) but at least the end bombing part was nice.
For more info about the game's features you can check out this Gamespot-interview. Topics include the class-based system (players have to pick a specific area of expertise, like infantry or aircraft, and that in an rts!), sparse new singleplayer info and the returning promise that multiplayer will be a new standard and such.
World in Conflict is slated for a 2007 release.
